Exit 17 Scooter club

Welcome, a little history on who we are...

Exit Seventeen is a scooter club with members situated in the West of England, principally based in the Chippenham and surrounding areas.

Whilst most of the club ride Lambretta some of us own Vespa’s too and even the odd auto.

The club name comes from Exit 17 of the M4 motorway (which links Bristol & South Wales to London & the east).

The club was originally formed in 1981, wholly within the Chippenham & Corsham/Calne areas as a Mod Scooter club (although to be fair, we were almost all Mods in those days!), it had folded by 1983 and members went on to join (amongst others) Rack'n'Ruin, Rockin' Roosters, Pure Gold, Wiltshire Alliance and many other clubs.
Throughout the late 80s and early 90s some of us continued to use the Exit17 name and always used it to sign on at LCGB events.

In 2000 Stuart Everett and Neil Wicks decided that it was time to truly resurrect the club again. It grew fast and at one point had over 100 members, but we have gone back to our roots now and are happier being a smaller club with a “quality of quantity” attitude. At present we have around 20 members.

We are big supporters of the national lambretta club LCGB as well as SWSC, and have members travelling to rallies both here and in Europe.

Now check out our forum to see what we are up to locally and nationally.

Exit 17 are members of the Lambretta Club of Great Britain and South West Scooter Clubs
